Cooking Light has an immediate opening for an experienced food editor with deep experience in magazine packaging, story concepting, recipe/food content planning—and an active interest in healthy cooking.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Produce, write, and develop feature packages, monthly columns, and cross-platform big ideas
• Cook up new ideas for the magazine—and deliver great articles
• Assist Executive Editor in managing and balancing all food content within each issue


Requirements:
• Deep passion for food and understanding of the profound changes happening in American food culture
• Extensive magazine editing experience
• Knowledge of the Cooking Light brand and its approach to healthy cooking
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to interact with many creative people across several departments
• Experience with recipe editing and recipe development
• Social media experience a plus
