Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and create original digital content both in general health and wellness areas and in specific health with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Track and report on new developments in health and medical fields based on interviews with health professionals and medical research experts.
• Coordinate and manage outside blogger and experts’ coverage of health conditions organized into vertical sites by RHM.
• Maintain editorial budgets for the RHM verticals.
• Learn and carry out Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
• Help develop interactive tools and other site products as needed to engage site audiences, drive site registration and foster active communities on the sites
• Gauge online industry trends and marketing opportunities, including viral and online social networking platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Reporting and Web writing skills, with particular ability to analyze, interpret and present research findings into clear, concise reports.
• Ability to interview health professionals and research experts
• Ability to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Understanding and implementation of best SEO practices as it applies to content
• Familiarity with social networking methods and applications
• Strong editing and proofreading skills
• Familiarity with multimedia and graphical presentations, such as infographics and slideshows
• Ability to shoot publishable photographs and video
• Familiarity with health-related blogs a plus
• Passionate about helping people live healthier lives
• Strong research background


• Four year college degree with a focus on technology or journalism preferred
• 2+ years relative experience
