Job Description

Reporting directly into the EVP, Integrated Marketing, the Director of Planning is an integral part of Alloy Digital new business initiative, responsible for strategic media planning function, leading a team of 5 planners, and collaborating closely with the marketing/development team to build campaigns resulting in significant revenue for the organization. Specific responsibilities include:

* Identify new ad products and train both Planning, Marketing & Sales on best practices from a performance and planning perspective
* Manage internal/rate card structure as well as internal billing/transition process upon deal close
* Collaborate with the sales team to create strategic media plans for the Alloy Digital Network working through negotiation rounds from beginning to close
* Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Ad Operations and partner sites to effectively build plans that maximize potential revenue
* Work with Sales and Marketing teams to create proposals for custom integrated sponsorships
* Utilize inventory guides to ensure accurate usage of avails and proper booking of fixed placements
* Review research and case studies to identify key media placements for the target audience
* Work cross functionally ensuring rate card inherency
* Assist sales team in positioning the proposals to advertisers
* Handle all proposed media plan entries into relevant 3rd party systems (MediaVisor, Atlas)
* Work on optimizations with Account Management team for sold media plans

Required Skills

* Media planning leadership experience; 5+ years experience
* Strong understanding of digital media planning, online advertising and sales/marketing
* Ability to think creatively to develop successful media plans for clients
* Strong organizational skills - able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Must possess analytical skills
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Knowledge of comScore, DFP, DSM and Salesforce
* Communicate clear and concisely with other team members, must be both a leader and a team player

Required Experience

* Agency experience a must
* BA/BS in Marketing or related field
