Autoweek Media Group seeks an experienced sales professional -- whose veins course with high-octane fuel -- to join the National Account Sales Team.

As a Midwest Territory Account Executive focused on a major OEM account and new business, you will sell our entire portfolio of print, digital, production and database solutions; you are also expected to enjoy and appreciate the lines of the latest cars and trucks.

You will be expected to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and objectives. You will service existing clients, sell advertising/marketing campaigns, protect and increase existing advertising by assessing client's needs and selling value, and in so doing go to the occasional automotive event. In addition, you will secure new business through prospecting, including cold calling, networking and client presentations.

This is an outside sales position, handling the full sales cycle from prospect to close to account management.

* Build and expand relationship with assigned major account partners and prospects to maximize revenue opportunities
* Consult with clients and prospects to determine their business needs and offer the best utilization of the Autoweek Media Group products and services.
* Determine, in consultation with the customer, the best product combinations for each assigned account
* Work with media, account and experiential agencies along-side the client
* Executes strategies for selling effectively against the competition
* Delivers and obtains long term commitments and campaigns
* Initiates, coordinates and conducts formal verbal and written sales presentations
* Develops and delivers advertising ideas/solutions that provide and deliver ROI to major accounts
* Strategizes with team members to plan and execute multimedia marketing plans
* Organizes and prioritizes workflow to meet team goals and deadlines
* Communicates effectively to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
* Meets and exceeds revenue expectations
* Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
* Minimum of 3 years of continued success in media sales or with a media sales team. Previous multimedia (Print & Digital) a plus. Proficient in face-to-face sales calling including up-selling, appointment setting and cold calling.
* Extensive understanding of consumer print, digital, social and content platforms
* Must be able to work through objections/concerns regarding costs, budgets and selling strategies
* Demonstrated ability to grow and maintain market share
* Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment; in building customer-based revenue in larger account bases and in delivering customer solutions based on identified needs
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and Powepoint), CRM and time management skills
