Summary of Duties

Reporting directly to the Department Head, Corporate Website Management, this position is responsible for defining, executing and administering audience specific social media strategies. Cultivates new communities and manages branded online communities on behalf of the organization using tools such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms. Generates and applies relevant content for daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets while tracking metrics and monitoring relevant conversations. Monitors and comments on social media trends and applications, acting as the organization's representative in social media communities. Manages social media campaigns and day-to-day activities related to social media communities including online advocacy and composition of editorial, community outreach efforts, and promotional activities. This position is issued a cellular phone. This position requires flexible availability including non-business hours, weekends, and holidays and is subject to call 24/7. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

* Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Marketing, Digital Communications or related field OR in lieu of degree, any combination of education and experience in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant field that equal four (4) years.
* In addition to #1, must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible digital/computer based experience in one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Content Management Systems, Social Network Integrations, or on-line communities in a customer centered environment.
* Supervisory experience is required.
* Must have demonstrated knowledge and ability to rely on experience and judgment in framing and communicating content/messaging in an appropriate manner consistent with established corporate communications and messaging standards.
* Must have strong business acumen with the ability to make sound business decisions in a demanding, sometimes crisis driven work environment, often working with sensitive information and confidential materials.
* Must have excellent and technically sound verbal and written communications skills.
* Must have strong project management skills utilizing Agile methodology, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently often managing multiple highly visible and complex projects/assignments simultaneously.
* Must be proficient in business technology tools to include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, content management architecture, and digital asset management.
* Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with staff at all organizational levels both internally and externally.
* Must possess the creativity to develop new and dynamic social media initiatives and/or campaigns in order to communicate the organization's message across all applicable social media channels in concert with corporate marketing and communications programs/campaigns.
* Must be familiar with Enterprise Content Management systems (ECM) and E-commerce platforms.
* Must possess a solid understanding of the social media universe, including YouTube, Flickr, StumbleUpon, Digg, reddit, forums, wikis, and blogs.
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
