Public Relations Specialist

Gallup is looking for an experienced writer/journalist who will build strong relationships with national media and external constituents to publicly showcase Gallup's consulting services and worldwide research.

Responsibilities include:
*Act as a media contact for Gallup, implementing proactive and reactive media relations efforts (anticipate and field media questions, identify key media opportunities, build strategic partnerships)
*Craft and execute effective outreach and dissemination campaigns for marquee partnerships, reports, and other initiatives
*Write articles and overviews of Gallup's consulting research for publication on and in external publications
*Increase awareness of Gallup's consulting services through continuous outreach and new media strategies
*Prioritize urgent, competing demands; juggle multiple tasks; and follow projects through to completion
*Create materials and lead briefings to educate reporters about Gallup's services
*Write and manage communications for the public, including company blogs and social media
*Increase the visibility of Gallup's experts through writing, speaking, and interview opportunities
*Track, monitor, and evaluate outreach activities and accomplishments; provide recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements: Candidates for this position must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or a related field. Two to three years of experience in public relations, communications, or media is required. Experience working with major national news outlets/trade publications is required. Experience using research to write articles is a plus.
