The Manager, Traffic Management Services is responsible for the Traffic Management service including architecture, service delivery, and service management. They partner closely with the IT Network team, vendor partners, and business customers to design, delivery, and support a robust set of Global and Local Traffic management services. The Manager should have an understanding of Network design, Local & Global Traffic Management physical and logical architecture. The individual will be required to work weekends and off shift hours to support production operations and to drive troubleshooting. The Manager leads a growing F5 engineering staff. This person partners closely with diverse support groups such as Platform, Compute, Storage and Network Services and Security teams. The person is responsible to implement highly available load balancer automations to support elasticity, predictability and administration as part of the NBCU Private and Digital Cloud strategy. ties Partner with IT Shared Services and vendor partners to implement automation Implement metrics and reporting for Traffic Management operations Engage with business and IT shared service to define and implement Traffic Management Architecture Responsible to lead 7x24 operations for all traffic management activities including for critical eBusiness, Branding, and corporate sites Leads Traffic Management operations team to manage escalations and approvals for change management Responsible to lead outage management for Traffic Management services & devices Leads all Traffic Management Service Delivery for customer engagements Leads availability, performance, and capacity activities for Traffic Management Generates load balancer utilization/capacity matrix and plans for improvements Provide near and long term technology decisions for corporate network architecture and design for Load Balancing technologies. High focus on documentation for architecture, design, recommendations,
process and training.



B.S. degree in Information Technology, or other technical discipline. Job experience considered. Able to multi-task, triage, and prioritize while maintaining attention to detail Reliable and able to meet deadlines Team player who communicates & collaborates well with customers, IT shared services teams, and vendor partners Experience managing operations for eCommerce, Web Marketing, and/or Digital Media sites Experience leading availability and performance improvements


Minimum of 4 years experience in managing Traffic Management services & operations Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple groups, levels in the organization Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently Experience in ASM services Experience in iRules Experience in Traffic Management products and virtualization Experience with cloud orchestration integration
