The Account Director is responsible for the overall status of his/her account. This includes managing the strategic direction and vision of the account team, maintaining a healthy and productive relationship with the Client and maintaining the quality of work on the account. In addition, the Account Director must be digitally proficient, understanding digital, social, and mobile campaigns, and achieve the agreed upon profit targets and growth goals for the account. The Account Director is responsible for keeping Agency management informed on major issues affecting the account.

• Must insure the quality of work on all aspects of the account for example, client communications, delivering integrated campaigns, and recaps.
• Understands the Client’s business, initiates marketing ideas, manages the brand and builds the business by establishing business-building plans.
• Maintain an open rapport with the top decision makers at the Client
• Be effective in preventing problems and solving them quickly as they develop.
• Contribute to the growth of the account and take responsibility for the profitability of the account
• Cultivate opportunities for senior management to have contact with Clients
• Must possess the experience and breadth of knowledge in marketing
• Provide a keen understanding of ethnic markets
• Be able to plan, present and execute the account’s strategic direction
• Be able to effectively manage budgets for revenue generation, profit growth and compliance with Client contracts.
• Exhibit broad people management skills
• Able to manage staff and provide direction, guidance and motivation with on-going feedback and opportunities for staff to obtain education and personal skills development.
• Be a team player who is able to work within the Agency systems
• Creates a positive work environment
• Must possess superior communication skills, both written and oral

• 7-10 years Advertising agency experience strongly preferred
• Strong background working on automotive account/s
• Knowledge and experience with all disciplines (Media, account service, creative, production, event marketing, and digital)
• Knowledge of the client's business and their customers
• Strong analytical skills
• Comfort with a non-traditional role delivering creative ideas from an integrated marketing communications approach
• Background in marketing communications
• Computer skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint


• Microsoft Office, specifically, Excel, Word and Power Point
