The media and technology engineering team provides media, business and technology engineering solutions and support services to The Weather Company. The team specializes in design, consulting, build and operate services for all TWC infrastructure across all LOB's.
This position oversees and manages several teams of associates in the design & build, implementation and ongoing support services of existing and new technologies for The Weather Company. This group works with a very diverse technology and product landscape across several data centers and offices in Atlanta, San Francisco, Andover and Madison. This position must work closely with end-user groups, quality assurance, and Tier 1 support, to ensure operational stability and meet the SLA's for our world-class digital, television and professional services lines of

Responsibilities include 24x7x365 operations management, build services including installation of hardware and software and support tools. Responsible for hiring and leading multiple teams of information systems personnel, media technologists and contractors. Responsible for ensuring technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software to meet customer SLA's. This position reports to the VP Engineering and Operations.

·Identify and implement media technologies, digital infrastructure and IT infrastructure in a highly advanced and technologically sophisticated environment.
·Ensure that the needs of the businesses are properly interpreted to the Engineering & Operations organization.
·Provide leadership in our transformation from good to great, define and deliver operational excellence.
·Plan, commit, & successfully manage the design and implementation process and engineering team to hit target dates & company goals
·Manage technical teams and establish best practices for all aspects of infrastructure design with an emphasis on high quality, scalability, uptime, and security
·Responsible for day-to-day tier 2 technical support services and planning, initiate all corrective actions to improve
performance deliverables and/or resolve issues as they arise.
·Provide leadership on complex projects involving a broad range of expertise and disciplines.
·Manage multiple teams of professionals across several facilities while overseeing and maintaining all information technology, media and digital infrastructure systems.
·Responsible for researching and recommending state of the art, operationally cost effective equipment, which will improve operations.
·Implement and promote a customer-driven service culture.
·Provide leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions.
·Work with other TWC operational counterparts and their client groups to help analyze and prioritize optimal resource allocation for projects.
·Proactively initiate process and system improvements for the ongoing enhancement of service performance.
·Act as the single point of contact for client groups during prime time/high profile emergency situations.
·Oversee software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, purchases, and backups for servers and associated applications.
·Responsible for server and application performance and resources; develop performance metrics and appropriate reports.
·Recommend changes to address specific weaknesses (gaps/problems), in personnel, processes, procedures and systems
·Monitor team's activities to ensure the highest level of customer experience
·Meet service level commitments relative to the resolution of problems
·Keep abreast of new technology and make recommendations as to how best to utilize the new technology for the benefit of our partners and customers.
·Proactively review assessments of exposure areas and takes steps to reduce vulnerabilities.
·Ensure all issues are addressed, resolved and documented appropriately as they arise
·Provide coaching, mentoring, and appraisals
·Take full responsibility for the corporate IT infrastructure in all offices.

·Minimum of 8 years of information technology, media technology and digital technology (web) support and engineering experience, 5 years in senior management roles leading technology professionals.
·Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or related Technology/Engineering/IT discipline
·Deep understanding of media, digital and IT infrastructure.
·Have an in depth knowledge of digital technologies as used in a broadcast environment, as well as deep experience and understanding of IT
·Strong managerial skills and proven abilities to lead a technical team
·Expertise in developing and managing customer relationships
·A proven track record of success in influencing the agenda of senior level management and enacting change within a complex environment.
·Proven delivery of highly reliable and scalable infrastructure systems
·Proven ability to make critical decisions about performance/time/risk tradeoffs.
·Exceptional interpersonal communication skills: must be a great listener, an inclusive and decisive leader of engineers, and great senior management team member

·Significant experience with large scale, high availability serving systems.
·Significant experience with web services, network equipment (firewalls, load-balancers, ect.)
·Architecture skills: planning and building COLOs in data centers.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·Demonstrated project management experience preferred
·Experience in 24/7 data center operations and content aggregation a plus.
