Position Summary:

Mid-level position within MediaVest’s research group, charged with providing intelligent and insightful research solutions for the client team. Working closely with strategic planning & investment units and the broader research team, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong media and consumer research skills and have the ability to apply research learning to our clients’ businesses.

Specific Responsibilities:· Help manage client-specific projects that involve both syndicated data analyses & primary research studies that focus on consumer understanding, media use, contact selection and media effectiveness
· Support research team, media planners and buyers in maximizing the value of various syndicated research resources and proprietary studies; includes assisting in gathering and interpreting data for special reports and analyses
· Help lead and contribute to agency and client proprietary media and consumer research projects; includes providing input on study and survey design, project management, analysis and presentation of findings to internal teams as well as directly to clients
· Support the application and roll-out of existing and new proprietary tools and work with client team to determine how best to apply research and tools to drive business results
· Outline and write reports, POVs, custom newsletters and distribute research resource/system support materials to internal teams and help populate and organize internal resources website; includes leading internal team training sessions on applicable tools
· Display knowledge of research methods/sources/techniques across multiple media contacts and apply this knowledge to support media planning and investment discussions
· Develop relationships with media research vendors and other MediaVest departments, including other research teams as well as internal planning and investment teams
· Work on a diverse set of client-specific projects, including helping to answer client questions, creating client-ready presentations and attend client presentations/meetings; includes providing perspective on key insights and implications to clients and internal teams

Required Skills (the “technical” stuff):· 3+ years of media research related employment. Experience can come from another agency, media owner, advertiser or research vendor but experience in media research capacity is essential
· Strong knowledge of all syndicated media research & systems; strong knowledge of local market data and research preferred
· Knowledge of and/or interest in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
· A team player with proven ability to work well with others; must be resourceful and collaborative
· Ability to work independently, prioritize projects, multi-task and meet deadlines
· Self motivated, hardworking and dedicated; commitment to continual learning & a curious mindset
· Proven aptitude to be analytical and detail oriented and show strong knowledge of math
· Strong writing & presentation writing skills
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in any major, but preferable in advertising, marketing, communications or research
· Strong PC skills with high proficiency on media research systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Need to feel comfortable working on a computer and learning new computer systems and tools
