Role Purpose The Manager of Landscape Research for The NBC Sports Group will work closely with the SVP, NBCSG Sales and Marketing Research to gather insights and data that boost NBSCG Sales organizations collective understanding of trends and developments in the sports media and sponsorship marketplace. This individual will work in close collaboration with VP, NBCSG Sales Research and Associate Director, NBCSG Primary Research to develop materials that aid in business development efforts across the NBCSG portfolio (NBC, Golf Channel, NBC Sports Network, Olympics, Sunday Night Football, NHL, Notre Dame, Triple Crown, etc). Responsibilities

* Assimilate competitive intelligence on non-NBCSG networks and sports and marketplace positioning strategies.

* Produce category overviews and brand deep-dives on active sports advertisers, inclusive of spending, ad effectiveness and SWOT analyses, demographic/behavioral/psychographic target profiles, product rollouts, etc.

* Monitor trends in sports media and sponsorship space (TV rights fees; multi-platform marketing and consumption; marketplace consolidation; etc.) across trades, publications, and other industry sources

* Identify and present/share best practices in sports media and sponsorship activation.

* Assist in valuation of value-add and other non-unit elements (e.g., signage, intellectual property)

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree

* Proven knowledge of syndicated data systems (Nielsen AdViews, Kantar, MRI, Simmons, IAG, etc.). Eligibility Requirements

* Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

* Must be 18 years or older

* MBA degree in Statistics or Sports management

* Demonstrated knowledge of sports sponsorship

* Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

* Demonstrated knowledge of ad sales process and needs

* Proven team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner

* Proven ability to alternate from detailed work to client interaction seamlessly

* Demonstrated ability to be detail and process oriented with strong analytical skills
