NBC Universal Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Maintenance Engineer in our Studio Technology department at 30 Rock. This department supports all of the Studios & Control Rooms in a 24/7 capacity at Rockefeller Center.

Perform system level troubleshooting of technical facilities, including, but not limited to, control rooms, studio equipment, audio equipment, and computer equipment Communicate with the production community to understand and discuss problems Perform preventative maintenance on an assortment of studio & control room equipment Repair equipment as needed or assigned This position will primarily be overnight shift work Other duties as assigned

5+ years of recent experience in a television broadcast environment 2+ years of experience with Mac OSX, Microsoft Windows platforms 2+ years of experience with broadcast production systems and software including Calrec Audio Consoles, Telex Intercom Systems, Sony Video Switchers, and others 2+ years of experience with TCP/IP networks and other PC networking technologies 2+ years of experience with digital TV (HD/SDI) as well as core technical/plant facilities 2+ years of experience in a software-driven broadcast video equipment 2+ years of experience trouble-shooting and problem-solving with broadcast-related equipment and systems, meeting the urgent needs of 24x7 broadcast environments and providing excellent service to customers 2+ years of experience with TV engineering and broadcast video/audio transmission systems This position will primarily be overnight shift work; must demonstrate flexibility with regard to schedule changes and ability to work a rotating shift schedule including after hours and weekends as required Successful candidate will be required to join the NABET Local 11 Union upon employment if not already a member Eligibility Requirements: Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through NBC UNIVERSAL CAREERS to be considered Must be willing to work in New York, NY Must be willing to submit to a background investigation Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must be 18 years or older Must be able to bend, climb and lift equipment and packages weighing up to 70 pounds
