Manager, Business Operations, Conde Nast Media Group
The Conde Nast Media Group is the corporate-selling division of Conde Nast, responsible for negotiating and enforcing annual revenue-based contracts with 300 key advertising accounts. Those accounts run their advertising across various combinations of the Conde Nast magazines, websites, and related products (tablets, apps, etc.). This position supports The Studio and Business Operations.
- Business Operations:
o Responsible for overseeing the financials for The Studio team. This consists of managing, planning and adjusting all categories on the departmental, and is responsible for managing the two internal budgets (freelance & promotion). Works closely with the Executive Director of The Studio and the Senior Business & Operations Director.
o Prepare multiple reports for upper management monthly, including the Studio’s pro forma
o Reconcile Studio’s database against PeopleSoft/Admarc/General Ledger reports to ensure revenue is in-house and scheduled to bill.
o Work with Sales Planners/Associates/Digital Business Team to provide job codes for every program and ensures the revenue lives in the appropriate place.
o Works closely with the Producers of The Studio regarding their program budgets
o Must be able to pull adhoc reports based upon request.
o Pull reports for brand Business Managers upon request and help them analyze and project net profit for Studio programs.
o Reclass all Studio freelancer expenses monthly to appropriate programs. This is pulled from an online tracking system (Dovico) and is reconciled with the weekly reports sent to us from GES.
o Process vendor and freelancer invoices
- Other Responsibilities include:
o Responsible for sweepstake/contest outreach and fulfillment. This includes reaching out to winners and securing all necessary legal paperwork and then fulfilling the prize.
o Responsible for ordering supplies, helping to book conference rooms, logging visitors into OneFaility
o Approving new vendors and processing new freelancer requests
o Subscription renewals
o Reclassing catering orders to the appropriate T&Es
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Excel
- High attention to detail
