The Role
Transmissions Coordinators are responsible for building and ensuring the integrity of video transmission paths over IP, fiber and satellite, in a live television environment. Regular duties include bandwidth acquisition, operations resource management, routing/switching, utilization of network control applications, QC and trouble shooting transmission-related issues. Coordinators are responsible for scheduling, ingesting and tagging all incoming feeds to server for live or taped programming. This position will also include additional duties of hiring and scheduling US domestic crews, studio facilities, sat trucks and equipment. The ability to thrive in a fast- paced, team-first environment is critical. Coordinators work closely with vendors, assignment desk editors, field production personnel, master control and engineers.

Qualifications:
-2+ years recent/relevant experience in a live TV news environment
-Ability to work well in a team setting under tight deadlines
-Flexibility with hours, i.e., shifts, nights, and weekends
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Knowledge of relevant technologies, equipment and services
-Experience with HD production, field producing and transmission a plus
