Overall Job Objectives
Maximize sales into specialty retail channels (i.e. museums, historical sites, online catalogs, and specialty gift shops) and ensure the combined WGBH and PBS libraries are being sold in these markets. Generate brand awareness and develop sales plans for new retail venues for titles on a genre-by-genre basis. Support PBSd's key sales initiatives. Build and expand network of buyers and distribution partners to maximize sales opportunities, and ultimately, bottom line revenue for PBSd.

Principal Responsibilities
-Communicate new release information to video buyers and distribution partners; customize sales plans and follow up with phone calls
-Identify new and creative solutions to demonstrate successes and identify opportunities.
-Develop and execute sales plans for new customers
-Track sales of all accounts and meet growth targets each quarter; provide monthly sales reports to Director of Sales
-Recommend both backlist catalog and new release titles to customers and new sales prospects throughout each stage of the buying cycle; execute on sales plans for major customers
-Administrative duties to be determined by Director of Sales which will include running and distributing monthly title listings and monthly top seller reports, processing sample requests, pulling art images and updating the Sales Force
-Deliver sales presentations to video buyers
-Represent PBSd at various national tradeshows throughout the year (10% travel required)

Technical/ Skills
-Creative thinker who can identify and build new marketing initiatives and sales channels for PBSd titles
-A self-starter, with an eagerness to expand retail footprint and build sales in non-traditional venues
-In-depth knowledge of PBSd video library content and ability to customize title recommendations for all customers
-Problem solver / solution oriented
-Computer proficient
-Multitasker
-Strong teamwork and inter-departmental skills

Work Experience
-Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in multimedia (preferably video) sales and marketing
-Experience in selling products into niche/ special interest market channels, such as museums, online catalogs, specialty gift shops, associations
-Successful track record in identifying and developing new markets for consumer products preferably video or multimedia products
-Demonstrated understanding and experience with social media and web-based selling tools
-Experience in the creation of sales and marketing outreach artifacts and communications

Education/Training
-Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales and marketing or communications
-Direct sales/marketing experience
-Internet/social media savvy
