Technology Reporter (10-Month Position)
The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks a reporter for a ten-month assignment covering technology. The position will start in late August, 2013, and the reporter must work out of our Washington, DC headquarters.We’re looking for a strong reporter who knows how to cover a beat, identify story ideas, and write in a clear and lively way on deadline. Coverage will include how technology is impacting teaching and learning, trends and watchdog reporting on ed-tech startups, and MOOCs. Candidates should have at least two years of professional experience.The Chronicle is the No. 1 source for news about higher education. We have more than 90 writers, editors, and correspondents stationed around the globe. We have a weekly print edition with more than 300,000 readers and a daily Web site with 1.7 million unique visitors a month and 14.3 million page views.Applications should include a cover letter; a résumé with telephone, e-mail, and postal contact information; and a maximum of five varied and impressive clips.
