Comedy Central Programming and Multi-Platform Strategy is seeking a talented Writer for our Shows and Specials team who can compose tight, decsriptive video copy for the content on our digital platforms, and compelling, on-brand updates to our social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr). The Writer will be part of the Content and Programming team responsible for hit series including Tosh.0, Workaholics, Inside Amy Schumer, Futurama, Key & Peele and Nathan For You.

The ideal candidate will combine deep love for and knowledge of comedy programming, strong writing and communication skills and a keen instinct for seeding out video content and show specific updates across social media. He or she will work closely with internal teams including Video Production, Fan Engagement, Home Entertainment and Press. He or she must meet daily deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work autonomously.

Job Description
-Write descriptive copy (titles, descriptions, tags, etc) for all video content on the various site pages of our shows
-Work closely with the Shows and Specials producers and production team to strategize on site programming and social media strategy
-Post updates to the show social accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr)
-Compose site copy for auxiliary Comedy Central properties on the web and mobile
-Occasionally write scripts for longer form original content around Comedy Central properties

-Fan of comedy television, knowledgeable about the current landscape
-Fan of Comedy Central
-Professional web site content writing experience
-Ability to write quickly and efficiently
-Detail-oriented, flexible, cooperative, able to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
-Basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems
-Basic knowledge of social media update schedulers like HootSuite
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
