Fordham's IT department provides a wide range of services and resources to assist students, faculty and staff in their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. We aim to create an environment where all students, faculty and staff have easy access to the information technology resources and information they need, and to provide an information technology infrastructure that supports institutional goals.

The University has an immediate opening for an IT Communications Specialist; someone to coordinate the timely deployment of integrated marketing programs that will build and promote Fordham IT's brand. The successful candidate will develop and oversee a strategic marketing and communications plan for the many varied initiatives IT orchestrates across the university's diverse constituent base. In this key role, the selected candidate will represent the Fordham IT brand at university and community meetings and in the write up and distribution of stories and articles for publication in industry and community media outlets. Based at our Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx, you will develop strategies and work on collaborative efforts to build awareness for the crucial and complex services provided by the IT Department to the University. You will need to be able to translate jargon-heavy, technical speak into layman's terms, making complex ideas and solutions understandable and accessible to the audiences we serve, bringing dynamic enthusiasm and clarity to the message of how important a role the department plays in all aspects of Fordham's resources for students, faculty, staff and the public at large.

The ideal candidate must have a BA/BS undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Marketing or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience. This position requires 4-6 years of work experience in the field or a related area; attention to detail, strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently; excellent computer skills. Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.
