Educational technology usage is rapidly increasing, and quality service and support is crucial to ensure good experiences for instructors who use our media products in their classrooms. To help meet this need, the Bedford/St. Martin’s new media group is seeking an organized, enthusiastic individual for the new position of Digital Solutions Coordinator. This person will facilitate communication with our e-portfolio class testers and adopters, travel and meet with adopters of media products, manage e-portfolio implementations, and provide a superior level of customer service to key adoptions. The Digital Solutions Coordinator will also inform media editors of trends in e-portfolio usage, facilitate training and deeper use of our media products by inquiring about pedagogical needs and consulting on how our products meet them, and work strategically with marketing and sales to develop media initiatives with the sales force and customers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop individual relationships with class testers and adopters, manage individual class tests, troubleshoot technical problems, and serve as a layer of personal customer service and pedagogical consultation for our customers
• Facilitate communication between adopters, potential adopters, and developers and reviewers of media products with Bedford staff (media editors, technical and pedagogical support, and managers)
• Help develop media strategy for the e-portfolio and support media strategies across the company; promote Bedford products and transition customers from competing products and 3rd-party products to native Bedford media.
• Continue to develop and re-envision editorially-oriented customer-facing sites
• Conduct webinars and online Webex demonstrations to promote and support Bedford media initiatives
• Work closely with marketing to train and support sales reps with media sales in their territories.
• Attend relevant conferences, seminars, and webinars to gain knowledge necessary to effectively promote higher education technology

Experience Needed:

• Minimum two (2) years educational publishing experience in higher education; experience working with instructors using educational technology is a plus.
• Alternatively, experience as a higher education instructor who has used educational technology could substitute for publishing experience

Educational Background Required:
• Bachelors degree
