OPERA NEWS Magazine, the world's premiere classical music publication, seeks a dynamic, creative and organized Advertising Production and Social Media Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Advertising and Business Development, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Advertising Department, will act as a liaison between the sales representatives and advertising clients, will oversee and enhance the magazine's presence on social media, and will perform other duties as needed. Responsibilities and required skills are as follows:

Advertising Production & Social Media Coordinator

• Manage the print production process from initial contract to finished piece
• Communicate with sales representatives to maintain current log of booked advertising; send contracts to confirmed clients to finalize ad sales
• Advise clients on advertising specifications and recommend strategies to adjust ads for compliance with print specifications
• Analyze print-readiness and work with Editorial staff to determine the layout of magazine advertisements for each issue
• Work with Advertising Director to maintain media materials and advertiser proposals.
• Analyze and synthesize industry research data for use in internal and external presentations
• Track department spending, process invoices for payment, and manage log of monthly production costs
• Supervise, create content for and expand online social networks, including Facebook and Twitter
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in advertising or marketing preferred
• 1-3 years of work experience required; experience in print production preferred
• Knowledge of opera/classical music desired
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Acrobat required; working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop preferred
• Familiarity with online/affiliate ad networks and content management systems, including OpenX

• Basic knowledge of Flash authoring applications and tools
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities and work within tight deadlines required
• Strong interpersonal, communication (phone and email), and analytical skills required
• Knowledge of/experience analyzing print industry marketing research preferred (MMR)
• Proven ability to effectively optimize social media preferred
