Cambridge University Press seeks a Technical Product Manager to join our Platform Technologies Team. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a technical background who wants to join an integral team at the forefront of a changing global business. You will be working with a range of platform technologies and contributing to product direction working with a diverse mix of business stakeholders.

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing all technical aspects of Platform Technology platforms across a range of technologies and delivery methods. You will lead technical projects and provide expertise in requirements engineering and solution development. In this role you will work in partnership with publishing and marketing teams along with project managers to deliver key publishing projects.

Duties include:

• Lead and contribute to the design and development of core delivery and content creation platforms
• Contribute to and take responsibility for software development planning, review and governance.
• Provide expert technical guidance as ‘Technical Design Authority’
• Manage platform feature pipelines
• Write comprehensive technical specifications and lead requirements engineering processes
• Research and evaluate new technologies

We are looking for an experienced professional with:

• At least 2 years’ experience of managing platform or software application development
• Knowledge of e-learning platforms
• Knowledge of software architecture concepts and integration protocols
• Experience of agile development and software development experience
• Confident communicator with all levels of management
• Previous experience of client facing roles or solution consultancy
• Proven ability to conceptualize business problems and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• A degree in a technical discipline

A project management or business analyst qualification is desirable.
