The Arkansas based Walmart team sets the strategy for success with Walmart in the U.S. Walmart U.S. includes both the Walmart Stores division and the Sam’s Club business in the U.S. The Vice President, Retail Sales and Marketing - Walmart team leader role develops the appropriate sales and marketing plans within allocated budgets to deliver growth for both the NVCP business and the broader Viacom relationship in general. This role will work in conjunction with the SVP role to establish the right infrastructure and strategies to insure long term success with Walmart. This position will also work closely with the Vice President of Retail Marketing Solutions (NYC Based for all of retail) to create differentiated marketing opportunities to support the Walmart U.S. business that are both 365 days a year “evergreen” and event-based. This role will develop strong working relationships within the NVCP LOBs to insure the right licensing partners are being signed, and the right products are being developed, to grow the business at Walmart and Sam’s. The VP, Retail Sales and Marketing , will report directly to Sr. VP Global Retail, Nickelodeon Consumer Products.

• Be responsible for the overall business at Walmart and Sam’s to maximize revenues, ensure consistency and minimize duplication.
• In conjunction with the VP of Retail Marketing in NYC, provide linkage into Consumer Marketing, IMP, and Digital
• Manage the Walmart/Sam’s account specific retail marketing budgets
• Work with key licensing partners and the CP team to:
• Develop retail specific programs designed to maximize Viacom/Nick’s revenues
• develop marketing programs for key Nickelodeon priority products to ensure sell-in and sell-thru on shelves
• Partner with internal LOBs to assist in the development of retail corporate synergy programs.
• Manage and assist in the development of the retail sales and marketing directors, managers and coordinators
• Develop strong understanding of all of the assets of the company to devise/execute account-specific plans, including:
• Advertising and Media Planning
• Digital
• LOBs
• Executive leadership
• Create customized sales presentations
• Create ideas that can be leveraged with the account to develop incremental selling opportunities
• Lead Entertainment Counsel pitch development and involvement
• Coordinate the Sales Team around “rallying ideas”
• Deliver vision of future for Walmart/Sam’s and plan needed to succeed
• Develop and execute strategies and programs designed to maximize Nickelodeon revenues at retail with Walmart and Sam’s:
• Execution of marketing programs developed.
• Manage the “day-to-day” operations of the Rogers Arkansas office
• Develop strong relationships with our licensing partner’s retails sales and marketing teams focused on Walmart and Sam’s.
• Help SVP develop presentations for both internal and external purposes to gain support for retail initiatives

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years experience in retail sales, retail promotions marketing or classic marketing
• 5+ years of leading a team of at least 5 people
• Very strong written and oral communication and visual presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful programs at retail
• Skill in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong creative mind – can develop ideas that will work for both sales and marketing solutions with retailers
• Experience analyzing and developing 360 degree marketing plans for consumer products
• Work experience at two of the following three preferred: retailer, entertainment company, toy company
• Experience managing a P&L
• Experience leading teams and multi-million dollar budgets
• Deep relationship and understanding of Walmart and Sam’s Club
• Bachelor’s degree
