Job Description

Are you looking for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work at a successful online media corporation? Let our Public Relations position be the springboard to your career!

We are seeking a career-minded individual who can pitch and advance the visibility of an ultra-busy editor of a major online publication. We are looking for a smart, polished, energetic and versatile public relations professional to support our editor in a fast-paced, challenging environment. In this position, you will oversee the needs of an editor in our ever-growing entertainment company. You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to handle yourself professionally in all scenarios that can occur in an entertainment setting with discretion and complete confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule meetings with industry professionals.
*Constantly pitch PMC for television, magazine and other media outlets.
*Create and foster new, dynamic relationships with other media outlets and contacts.
• Gracefully handle a high volume of phone calls, transactions and email inquiries.
• Arrange complicated daily calendar with meetings, logistics, details, meeting materials, etc.
• Continually update high-profile contact database.
• Interact and communicate with all levels of employees, executives, and talent.
• Act as a professional representative of the company, whether in the office, attending an event, or communicating verbally or in writing at all times.
• Calmly diffuse potentially negative outcomes through your professionalism, thinking on your feet, and putting your innovative problem solving skills to work.
• Have a thick skin when necessary or a soft-touch as required - and have the ability to discern in what situation each applies.

This is an exciting position with growth potential and plenty of opportunities to do your own writing -- where knowledge of, and a passion for, entertainment is essential. Applicant must have top-notch skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. In this highly visible role, you must be willing to work long hours when necessary. You'll become a key player on a talented, fun-loving team at a rapidly growing, high-energy company. You'll have tremendous long-term growth potential and be surrounded by great people.
