TIME.com seeks a special projects editor who has experience creating and managing great multimedia, multipart editorial web projects. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working across departments and collaborating with writers, designers, producers, photo editors, developers, social media editors to pull together the components of editorial packages that engage users and showcase TIME’s content. The role demands impeccable organization and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Part editor, part project manager, part creative muse, the project editor is the kind of person who can establish excellent working relationships quickly and make sure that even the most complex editorial packages launch on time.

Specific duties would include: Coming up with creative ideas for new digital projects and franchises and working with the relevant editors to make them happen • executing digital build out plans for some of TIME’s popular and long-running print franchises like the TIME 100 • working with the News Group marketing team to make sure that sponsor ad specifications are met • writing web-friendly headlines for print content • working with consumer marketing to promote magazine subscription content around the site and within • work with the managing editors of TIME.com to plan out the yearly calendar to optimize traffic and grow a loyal web audience • work with our production staff to be sure that the yearly editorial calendar is updated

Requirements: Four years minimum digital editorial experience as a writer or editor • experience using WordPress or another content creation platform • Ability to write appealing digitally optimized headlines and sharp concise copy • fluency in Twitter • experience harnessing social media to promote editorial projects or to create more content is preferred.
