TIME is looking for a senior editor to oversee international news coverage for our 50-million-strong global audience. The New York-based journalist will be deputy to the International Editor, and help manage the magazine's international editions.
They will also play a crucial role in shaping coverage of world news in the US edition, and help oversee international content on
The ideal candidate is an voracious consumer of international news and a sharp-penned editor of copy, with a strong visual aesthetic. Some experience abroad, whether as a writer/correspondent or as an editor, is preferable. They must be able to work with writers, editors, art and photo, as well as video producers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission, edit and oversee international stories by staff and freelance writers
- Serve a combined print and online audience of 50 million – and expand it
- Work collaboratively and on deadline
- Manage staff and freelance writers
- Write for the magazine and site as desired

Skills & Experience:
-6-8 years of editorial experience
-Experience in print and digital newsrooms
-Experience managing a team of writers – freelance or staff – is a must
-Proven track record of compelling work
