Job Description

Key Objectives

Drive brand awareness, traffic, customer acquisition, and sales by promoting the Moda Operandi brand, spokespeople, activities and events to the media, general public and external audiences
Work closely with Chief Marketing Officer and Director of PR to identify and develop key strategic communication messages for Brand, Personality, and Product
Project manage and lead global PR agencies to coordinate strategic communications efforts and achieve
Proactively develop and execute communications initiatives to promote Moda Operandi – partnering with Merchandizing, Creative, Editorial, and Technology to bring these initiatives to life
Grow, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with key press and affiliate partners (long-lead, short-lead, mainstream, trade, and blogs), working to secure positive strategic coverage for Moda Operandi
Build a best-in-class affiliate program, identifying key partners, managing day to day communications for best coverage

Specific Responsibilities: Press

Organize and lead weekly Global PR meetings
Plan and manage annual budget toward specific press opportunities and initiatives – performing a monthly ROI analysis by region along with project specific analysis
Proactively partner with Merchandising team to secure day to day coverage on Trunkshow and Boutique product for press and affiliates
Synthesize key domestic and international press for weekly Executive meeting
Maintain Moda Operandi press kit
Support the marketing team with ad hoc tasks (e.g., PR events, presentations)

Specific Responsibilities: Affiliate

Create weekly Affiliate newsletter
Day-to-day management of the affiliate marketing program – applications, product feed
Implement new affiliate marketing initiatives for focus markets

Analyze sales and traffic reporting for all affiliate marketing activities, identifying opportunity areas to increase traffic, sales and new customers as well as opportunities to introduce innovations to the program
Establish and build relationships with key affiliates/bloggers
Research and proactively recruit new affiliates to the program
Idea generation: recruitment, merchandising tools, market specific opportunities


Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s degree with managerial experience within the luxury fashion industry, focused on external communications and expertise in media
Proven track record of creating positive impact on business through PR and communications strategy
Creative thinking and strategic ideas generation – a key skill for this role, balanced with good judgment and decision making skills

Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills, strong presentation & superb writing skills

Extremely well-organized, methodical and efficient, with proven experience of working in a fast paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to multi-task with solid organizational and time management skills
Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills
Self-confident, highly motivated team player - mix of corporate and in-house experience preferred
