Business Development Director, Technology

Primary Responsibilities


-         Participate in the identification, assessment and development of enterprise level strategic partnerships that drive value (revenue or asset creation) for Conde Nast, such as:

o    Product co-development

o    Capability enhancement for multiple brands or for platforms

o    Digital and CN strategy execution

-         Gather and interpret business intelligence on marketplace and market sizing, competitors, etc.

-         Apply approved screening criteria to vet partners

-         Collaborate on development of business model to drive value for CN

-         Create execution plans for pilot projects, including identification of all activities necessary to bring project to market

-         Project manage initiatives that are greenlit for execution, coordinating with relevant CN departments

-         Transition as appropriate for ongoing stewardship to relevant Brand/Department (or outsource)

-         Identify and secure partners or subject matter experts where appropriate



-         7+ years of business development experience with large enterprise partners , preferably in the media, technology, telecom and consumer products industries

-         Proven record in signing large deals.  Existing base of great contacts/relationships and knowledge of the industry & landscape.

-         Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

-         Ability to manage multiple contract negotiations and relationships simultaneously.

-         Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and self-management driven by results.

-         Bachelor’s degree required.

-         Willingness to travel a must.
