Clique Media is seeking a full-time Photo Editor for Domaine (DomaineHome.com). Candidates must have impeccable research skills and a keen eye for/interest in home design and celebrity living. The Photo Editor must be a self-starter with the ability to recognize subtle, interesting, and on-the-cusp trends. Possessing a creative eye, artistic sensibilities, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment is imperative. Photo editing and basic HTML skills are also a must. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES•Extensive daily research of decorating, design, architecture, lifestyle and celebrity homes.•Pitch image-driven concepts for daily stories.•Producing weekly photo shoots, both remote and in-studio.•Create and edit photo assets for layouts as needed, including light retouching, silhouette-ing products for thumbnails, and cropping promo images.•Maintain an organized image request database and deliver files on tight deadlines.•Vetting pitches and maintaining an organized database of home shoot leads.•Coordinating and scheduling location scouts.•Work with art director and photographer for light styling as needed on product shoots.•Manage relationships with various photo agencies, brands, and PR companies on behalf of the Art Department.•Prepare weekly image usage reports.•Record photo credits for daily stories and all other projects.•Prepare images for upload into layout and slideshows.•Handle production of photo and video shoots •Pitch and create image driven posts for the Domaine blogJOB QUALIFICATIONS•At least 2 years of full-time experience working in the photo department of a print or online décor, food, or lifestyle magazine (will also consider professional bloggers with multiple years of experience curating fashion and beauty images). •Must have basic HTML skills.•Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Photoshop.•Must have excellent color-correction skills.•Must have basic retouching skills.•Must have comprehensive knowledge of home design, celebrities and taste makers.•Must have a comprehensive knowledge of magazines, photographers, and design/décor, food and entertaining editorials. •Must have a comprehensive knowledge of design trends and have the ability to forecast these movements.•Extremely resourceful with a can-do attitude that thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment.•Must currently live or plan to live in the Los Angeles area.•Must be familiar with Domaine’s voice and style.•Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-direction.•Photography knowledge and/or experience a plus.•Experience working with video production a huge plus.If interested please send your resume along with a cover letter with three examples of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org.
