Reporting to the Associate Dean, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, the Senior Director, Marketing develops and implements short and long term marketing strategies and plans to effectively market the School's portfolio of degree and non-degree programs and contribute to the achievement of enrollment and revenue targets.RESPONSIBILITIES1.Oversees marketing of Columbia Business School portfolio of programs, including Full Time MBA program, Executive MBA programs, and Executive Education programs2.Leads development of comprehensive marketing plans including, strategic goal formulation, targeting and messaging strategy and identification of key channels and metrics of success. 3.Develops sophisticated short and long-term lead generation and inquiry conversion strategies to achieve business objectives for each program; tracks marketing outcomes and makes ongoing improvements for maximum effectiveness.4.Oversees development and implementation of all marketing content and tactics across channels, including but not limited to advertising/media, email communication, website, collateral, and social media and provides leadership and guidance to internal marketing team and agency partners for high quality execution. 5.Partners with Columbia Business School MBA Education:Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 7 years related experience required. MBA preferred. Minimum Requirements:Must possess superb strategic, analytic and leadership capabilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management and multiple stakeholders is essential. Experience leading marketing for a high profile brand and/or working for a highly recognized marketing communications firm (e.g. advertising, media) a must. Must be able to work well under deadline pressure, and be a self-starter who anticipates opportunities and problems and takes initiative to find and implement creative solutions. Must have strong influencing and negotiation skills. A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills is critical. Must be results orientated keeping the customer in mind, capable and confident of leading, successful in identifying and implementing new ideas, a team leader who has a history of energizing their staff and motivating them to accept and embrace new ways of doing business. Must be able to travel worldwide.Preferred Qualifications:Ten years of progressive senior marketing experience and business management experience with a demonstrated track record of success in consumer marketing highly desired. Prior Corporate experience preferred.
