Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a cohesive social media strategy for Columbia Business School. Duties include:

1.Develops social media strategies to achieve the School's social media goals, in service of the larger brand goals.

2.Develops compelling, engaging, and accurate social media content daily. Manage presence in social networking sites including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

3.Monitor, measure, and analyze impact of social media efforts to determine effectiveness through relevant monitoring tools.

4.Create social media guidelines for use within the School. Provide social media thought leadership within the organization, working with and supporting relevant parties within the organization to ensure social media techniques and executions align with best practices and the Columbia Business School brand.

Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field. Minimum four years of online marketing experience that includes at least three years experience in social media management required
Strong understanding of digital technology and social media required. Experience utilizing media tools and platforms to achieve organizational objectives and experience developing and maintaining social media networks and relationships required. Must have experience working with social media dashboards and monitoring tools such as HootSuite, Tweetdeck, etc. Superior writing, editorial, and organizational skills required. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of seniority. Sound judgment and attention to detail required. Must have strong communication skills and ability to multi-task. Must have ability to work in fast paced environment with poise and professionalism.
