Food Network Magazine is currently looking for a mid-level candidate to proactively provide full administrative assistance to the Publisher of Food Network Magazine, as well as the Associate Publisher. Extremely fast paced environment; Looking for an assertive person who can multi-task and be the right hand person to this management team.

  • Manage daily calendars, arrange all meetings and appointments

  • Maintain publisher’s email inbox

  • Make all travel arrangements (hotel, air, car service, etc.)

  • Submit weekly expense reports

  • Client follow up emails, notes and gifts

  • Assist/help/prepare publisher and associate publisher for all client calls

  • Restaurant reservations for client entertaining/liaison to variety of restaurants

  • General office tasks - data entry, filing, photocopying, and monthly mailings

  • Maintaining and updating all office contacts

  • Fulfilling various client requests

  • Manage holiday, vacation and summer Friday schedule for staff

  • Submit weekly staff timesheets

  • Schedule all Account Reviews and Account Review follow up projects

  • Review all incoming newspapers and other press

  • Prepare materials for weekly sales meeting

  • Manage (along with sales assistants) the FNM interns and their curriculum

Required Sklls:

  • Outstanding and professional communication skills

  • Ability to keep all work and information confidential

  • Strong skills in multi-tasking and prioritizing

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Experience in coordinating schedules and calendars

Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years of experience assisting high level executives

  • Magazine experience preferred, but not necessary

  • Comfortable with use of ipad, iphone and other media devices

  • Familiar with websites such as Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
