In 2009, NBC Sports won the prestigious Peabody Award for its production of the Beijing Games and was named Best in Sports Television at the Sports Business Awards.*** PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.***Job ScopeThe Sales Designer, NBC Olympics Digital is responsible for creating graphical designs and production assets related to advertising initiatives within the NBC Olympics digital environment. Platforms include the website (www.nbcolympics.com), mobile and tablet applications.Responsibilities * Create differentiating, on-brand design solutions (Mock-ups, storyboards, web design, mobile application design). * Effectively communicate design features and functionality for digital sales initiatives. * Ensure compliance with existing design style guides, brand identity and internal standards. * Prepare designs for delivery to the production & development teams. * Create graphical assets related to ongoing site production and maintenance. * Collaborate with a variety of individuals throughout the creative and development process.Qualifications * Minimum three (3) years-experience in creating original website designs. * Excellent layout and typography skills. * Design degree, diploma or equivalent work experience required. * Proven commercial experience in an interactive design role for sponsored initiatives. * Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. * Advanced knowledge and skills in visual design, user interface design, and web usability principles. * Prior experience working within a design team environment. * Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and creativity. * Eligibility Requirements * Interested individuals should log onto to www.nbcunicareers.com to apply * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation * Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States * Must be covered by Solutions, NBCUs Alternative Dispute Resolution Program * Must be 18 years or older * It is the policy of NBC Universal and NBC Universal's affiliated businesses to consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy) sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.
