The Broadcast / Cable Director of ADWEEK will oversee revenue growth of a national broadcast and cable account portfolio across print, digital and event platforms. The Broadcast / Cable Director must be able to employ an integrated, consultative approach to sales in order to build custom programs around key industry timeframes and pillar editorial franchises. This position requires a veteran seller who is able to articulate the business objectives of the ADWEEK sales organization and overall ADWEEK value proposition to the media and advertising community. Position reports directly to the Publisher of ADWEEK.

Experience in broadcast and strong relationship-building skills are required to develop and grow business focused primarily on broadcast media accounts and agencies. Key client roster will include a collection of the following: NBC, ABC, FOX, A&E, Accenture, Comcast, CBS, Clear Channel Media + Entertainment, Disney, NFL, NBC Universal, Viacom, News Corp. MTV, ESPN and Time Warner, etc.

The role of Broadcast / Cable Director is progressive in scope and reach and requires a candidate with a smart, savvy sales acumen in order to:
•Actively lead the management, development and implementation of sales plans for account list
•Hit target revenue quota (quarterly)
•Work in conjunction with Publisher of ADWEEK on overarching account strategy, sales plans, process and integrated deals
•Manage and maximize account activity across print, digital and editorial event franchises to not only meet but EXCEED all sales and account goals
•Prospect, identify and develop new business accounts and sales opportunities
•Craft and deliver integrated sales proposals to clients
•Liaise and interface with marketing and editorial departments to identify unique opportunities
•Commitment to cultivating relationships and loyalty through personal interaction and maintenance of client business and needs
•Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings
•Proactively report on sales activities and opportunities to department head

•10+ years relevant sales role and experience in media and advertising
•Strong negotiating, problem-solving, goal-setting and decision making skills
•Proactive in driving revenue and increasing client base
•Proven track record of consultative selling, managing long-cycle projects and driving revenue through development of strategic relationships
•Minimum of $2 million per year in annual booked ad revenue
•High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
•Ability to understand and align client goals with compelling, creative and integrated campaigns
•Capacity for managing multiple tasks at once, leveraging strong time management skills to meet assigned and unexpected deadlines
•Excellent communication, analytical, time management, negotiation and presentation skills
