Our corporate books team is currently seeking a full-time Design Assistant for its New York City location. We are looking for an organized, resourceful and enthusiastic individual to join our team! He or she will have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

•Working closely with the senior members of the Corporate Book Design Team in a support capacity
•Assisting with book production flow and administrative needs.
•Booking travel
•Handling invoices
•Processing expenses
•Updating all schedules
•Booking photo shoot staff
•Managing photography/illustration permissions
•Reuse fees and contracts
•Performing photo research
•Support the team in NY and PA,
•Work on most to all paperback conversions, reprints, and special sales projects
•Assisting with design and layout for various titles

Qualifications:

•Bachelor of Arts, preferably in Design, Art History, or Photography
•Prior work or internship experience at a magazine or book publisher production schedule and meeting short-term deadlines –
•Strong problem-solving abilities
•Excellent writing, editing and computer skills
•Knowledge of Adobe creative suite software (Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), HTML5, Powerpoint, and MS office preferred.
