Digital Marketing Manager
The Chronicle of Higher Education seeks a Digital Marketing Manager to manage and execute all online and mobile marketing campaigns to meet The Chronicle’s brand and campaign marketing performance goals and maximize digital revenue. The Chronicle is a progressive media organization committed to excellence in our journalism, technology and advertising product offerings. The Digital Marketing Manager, under the direction of the Director of Marketing Communications, will set the standard for the digital marketing team on building The Chronicle’s brand and value proposition through digital campaigns. Principal Responsibilities:• Partners with digital content distribution platforms to repackage existing Chronicle content or creates new content vehicles to be marketed on the web (infographics, animations, MAT articles)• Provides online campaign support to integrated marketing campaigns to maximize revenues. • Manages all marketing and advertising channels and destinations on chronicle.com and philanthropy.com to efficiently promote products and drive revenue.• Acts as a key stakeholder in marketing of expanding portfolio of online and mobile products.• Works with audience development team to enhance digital user acquisition strategies, co-develop test plans, monitor and report results.• Continually monitors competitive activities online, emerging digital platforms, industry best practices and new potential digital marketing channels.• Manage team operations to ensure deadlines are met in a timely, high quality fashion. Skills/Requirements:• Strong understanding of ROI-oriented marketing, including experience with mobile, email and online analytic tools such as Eloqua and Adobe Marketing Cloud.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels.• Demonstrated leadership and innovation abilities.• Ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment; work independently & collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Excellent writing skills, especially able to write with a strong “voice.”Education and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or relevant degree.• 3-5 years of professional experience in digital marketing, online content marketing, mobile marketing, and social media marketing, preferably for a media organization.
