• Lead creative briefing process and own the development of an insightful and inspiring creative brief
• Direct sales team in defining information requirements/needs
• Lead primary and secondary research support
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from all available sources to provide strategic implications and creative inspiration
• Facilitate brainstorm sessions that inspire big, creative ideas and client solutions
• Provide intel on Autoweek content consumer and client shopping behaviors
• General market trend analysis
• Develop competitive/category behavior assessment
• Assist sales team in defining program strategy
• Ensure tactical plan achieves client objectives and strategies
• Provide support to the sales team in the creation of a comprehensive plan
• Provide team/brand ongoing competitive assessments and industry news relative to shopper and consumer segments with implications

Candidate should have knowledge and skills in:
• Retail landscape, automotive industry, marketing factors and strategies
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with analytical systems which are used to pull and analyze data (Foresee, GfK MRI, ComScore, ABC)
• Strong capability with Microsoft Office applications (particularly PowerPoiont)
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with strong problem solving ability
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences
• High level of energy and enthusiasm

Preferred credentials:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Business Management, Economics, Statistics or similar degree from an accredited university
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in strategy and planning within the automotive industry collaborating with sales and management teams
• Prior work experience within a fast paced sales environment
