Deputy Editor,

The Deputy Editor will be responsible for assisting with the strategy and editorial governance of Nielsen’s global digital offerings, including, social media platforms and joint-venture properties. The successful candidate will be technically savvy, have top-notch writing and editing skills, and have a passion for being precise, clear and conversational in his/her work. This position is fully integrated into Nielsen’s Global Marketing and Communications team and will be a driving force in promoting Nielsen as an innovative brand that delivers uncommon market insights through multiple platforms. This role reports to the Editor-in-Chief of


Edit, write and develop news articles, feature stories, and other thought leadership content on a range of topics for Nielsen’s global websites
Create, update and maintain Nielsen content across the company’s global websites (Top 10 Rankings, Press Room, Events)
Work with the Editor-in-Chief to maintain global editorial calendars for new content development and distribution
Work with the Editor-in-Chief to develop and create new forms of digital content, including blogs, podcasts and video
Drive social media efforts/strategies and implementation
Monitor metrics to guide content decisions and future opportunities
Uphold, enforce best practices on Web writing, brand voice and audience engagement


Education/Professional Skills
Four-year degree
Minimum 5 years of experience with digital content and development
Ability to grasp business strategies and translate them into compelling, shareable content
Proficiency with content management systems, blogging software, social media, and AP Style
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and HTML
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Experience writing for the Web and working with global editorial/production calendars
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bilingual skills a plus
