Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill, is seeking a design editor to oversee the design and graphical presentation of Roll Call's print edition and website, as part of Roll Call's copy desk. The design editor lays out all pages for the four-day-a-week print edition along with designing graphics and illustrations for both print and online, in addition to some copy-editing tasks and social media responsibilities on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate would have at least two to four years of experience at a daily newspaper, would be well-versed in editing and designing on tight deadlines, and would have exemplary visual skills and news judgment along with a strong interest in Congress and the legislative process.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator is required, as well as a strong grasp of Associated Press style. Familiarity with social media applications such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram is a plus.
