The Mail Order/Special Markets Sales Assistant will process orders, handle new title mailings, maintain and research databases of current and potential customers, write pitch letters, explore new sales opportunities, write copy for Special Markets promotional materials, and other administrative tasks as necessary.

The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, as well as a creative and energetic personality. They must be very personable and comfortable on the phone with customers. We are looking for someone who pays attention to detail and has exceptional organizational skills, which allows them to juggle multiple tasks at once. Must be a proactive problem-solver. Proficiency required in Excel, Word, and other Office programs and the ability to learn new programs quickly. Office experience required – some publishing experience preferred.
