Overview:The Media Associate is responsible for evaluating, negotiating and purchasing media for print, radio, television, and online display advertising for assigned clients. This position will develop campaign analysis, optimize processes, recommend strategic and tactical changes to maximize campaign performance. Organize, implement and control the day-to-day media buying process, while acting as a resource to develop sound media buys which help increase traffic and sales for clients and negotiate the best rates and added value. Works with the Media Supervisor in various areas: planning, marketplace conditions, competitive analysis, and billing while maintaining business relationships with various vendors.Responsibilities •Assist in media strategy development and overall direction. •Manage the day-to-day implementation, optimization, and performance of campaign activities including authorizations, budgets, and the reconciliation process. •Analyze and provide clients with research data and media/marketing information as well as strategic analysis of campaigns. •Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, and vendors, to ensure an effective creation and implementation of campaigns. •Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; assist in strategic analysis of campaigns and resolve any performance issues•Effectively manage time and responsibilities in regards to deadlines and client needs •Capable of creating and managing complex Excel spreadsheets, flowcharts with high level of proficiency and accuracy (including media and math formulas) •Provide accurate & timely internal and external financial reporting •Creating, managing buys; generating insertion orders through media buying software system such as STRATA•Manage billing process; reconcile vendor invoices; track media expenditures•Collaborate with both the internal teams and external clients to understand key marketing objectives and building appropriate supporting media plans that reach the target audience.•Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behavior and media habits•Research and analyze data to quantify media recommendations•Develop client media plans based on business objectives and strategy•Collaborate on the negotiation and placement of media schedules•Keeps abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances•Participates in special projects as requiredQaulifications•Bachelor degree in related field •1 - 2 year(s) of experience in media planning •Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology and third party market research tools. •Knowledge of media resources including online planning tools, Scarborough, MRI, Strata, ARB, NSI, Simmons and TNS•Strong written, verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. •Ability to effectively multi-task multiple, competing priorities, and projects through strong time management and organization. •Proficient understanding of accounting principles, data analyzing, and market research •Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) •Team player•Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented•Able to function in a fast paced environmentLipman Hearne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
