CafeMom's entertainment, lifestyle & parenting blog, The Stir, is seeking an experienced senior editor. The Sr. Editor is responsible for all editorial content published, within specific verticals, on the site. This includes writing quality, topics selection, and traffic growth.

Responsibilities:

-- Work closely with editors and writers (staff and freelance) in a fast-paced environment to create original, compelling, web-friendly content that delivers traffic and value to our audience
-- Understand and employ SEO, social media, and other relevant traffic-driving tactics to benefit our site. Have a clear understanding of what makes web content viral and sticky.
-- Continuously monitor and analyze web traffic to guide content development, and to guide the writers, in an effort to maximize traffic each month.
-- Bring creative, innovative ideas for content & overall site growth to the table
-- Edit stories and headlines, improving clarity and editorial voice while ensuring that the stories are accurate and follow The Stir’s standards for voice, style, grammar, and spelling
-- Schedule all posts, seven days a week, and program relevant Facebook pages
-- Ensure that processes and policies are followed, including photo usage and copy guidelines
-- Write occasional posts?

Candidate needs to have at least 10 years experience in editorial, at least 4 of which have been as an editor and 3 of which have been exclusively online. Must be highly organized and versatile.
