The ideal candidate will champion superior user experiences, and lead interdisciplinary teams with an entrepreneurial spirit and get it done approach. Projects will include website and mobile development, apps, custom advertising products, social media integration, newsletters and other audience development initiatives. Additionally, the Sr. Product Manager will work with the Director of Product Development on technology management and planning, including budgets, project proposals and new business development.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Working with clients to translate organizational objectives into tactical projects
  • Managing and building client relationships on a project level
  • Working with the strategy, edit, design and dev teams on site architecture and user experience for all projects, ensuring both meet the needs of the target audience
  • Using web traffic and audience analysis to inform product development decisions
  • Developing requirements documents; defining and scoping web development tasks for the technical team, creating budgets, and designing thoughtful schedules to manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Composing QA plans and overseeing application testing; making go-live decisions
  • Creating post-launch documentation; training and supporting CMS users as projects are turned over to clients
  • Providing research on best practice web trends and learnings from across the Atlantic Media brands
  • Following established and improving existing processes

    Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong project management experience; ability to create solid action plans for large scale initiatives (minimum of three years of experience running a variety of web projects in a managerial role)
  • Thorough grounding in core Web disciplines such as standards-based mark-up and user-experience design
  • Acute intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn
  • Deadline focused; ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work
  • Unyielding attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuing education in the Web profession
