The Advertising and Sponsorship Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing ASME.org sponsorship activities, classified advertising sales, postal and electronic list rental sales and processes, sponsor and exhibitor sales, while meeting financial targets. Specifically, the position requires the candidate to be fluent with the implementation, servicing and management of sponsor and advertising activity via an ad server solution, preferably with experience utilizing Google's DFP. The candidate will be a proactive and reactive providing pricing information, taking orders as well as ensuring the accuracy of printed/digital advertisements via telephone and email communications. The incumbent will also be responsible for contributing to ASME, ASME.org and Mechanical Engineering's total revenues and cost efficiencies by playing a proactive role in the advertising and sponsorship business strategy, conference sponsorship/exhibit sales integration, and analysis of markets and response data.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on sales and marketing, or equivalent business experience. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in inside or outside sales, ad server solutions, direct marketing, list rental and database marketing. A complete understanding of Web 2.0 is necessary as well as strong customer service abilities.
