The Editorial Assistant for The Prowl is responsible for supporting the editorial, community, and product teams. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented and exceptional communication skills. We are seeking someone who is creative and has a can-do attitude! S/he will report directly to the Editorial Director of The Prowl.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing user-submitted copy for errors (broken links or images, missing info) and fixing as needed
• Helping with the management of freelance contributors including tracking their activity, receiving invoices, and submitting payroll
• Maintaining the editorial calendar
• Writing marketing copy, blog posts, and newsletter copy
• Administrative tasks as needed
• Compile reports and metrics
• Posting on social media sites
• Responding to customer service inquiries
• Creating content for The Prowl

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical training and skills required
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Social Media Communications
• Understanding of various social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, etc
• Excellent communication (verbal, listening and writing) skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Interest in fashion/beauty/home design preferred aka MUST LOVE TO SHOP!
