Research - Media Ad Sales Support
The Role:Bloomberg Media is searching for a Media Ad Sales Research person for the Media Ad Sales department. This person’s responsibilities are to research and analyze syndicated and primary audience data and help to develop sales strategies for Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg radio and Bloomberg.com, and Businessweek. This position reports to the head of Ad Sales Support in the Media Ad Sales group.Responsibilities: - Can effectively and efficiently access and utilize all major media industry research tools, including Arbitron, Nielsen, Kantar, Comscore, Rentrak, MRI and MMR.- Extracts from syndicated research key data to highlight important audience and media trends to be used in reports to senior management and in ad sales proposals and presentations.- Maintains databases of proprietary data and issues reports internally to disseminate trend information.- Addresses ad hoc requests for customized sales materials, presentations and data. - Evaluates research reports and syndicated data to develop new strategies for differentiating Bloomberg media properties.- Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications:- BA degree in communications, marketing or media related field.- 2+ years of recent and relevant work experience in a research-related field that requires use of syndicated software.- Analytical/logical mind-set with a strong orientation for details, yet an ability to see the big picture.- Strong organizational and communication skills (written/verbal/professional). - Self-motivated, able to maintain good time management while prioritizing and delivering against multiple deadlines - Creativity, with the ability to judge good presentation formatting and develop interesting ways of presenting data .- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with EzTab or equivalent, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Photoshop a plus.
