As a Category Marketing Manager, you will support the go-to-market strategy to increase AOL’s share in the category. You will be responsible for working cross-functionally to drive category intelligence, define AOL’s positioning, and evangelize AOL to the industry. This person will work closely with our Category Development Officers, Sales, Communications, Property, and Product teams to assure that we have consistent marketing plans and initiatives.

•Support go-to-market strategy to increase AOL’s share in the category
•Collaborate with CDO to develop strategic plan and actionable tactics to grow category revenue
oAnalyze industry trends, consumer needs, segmentation, and competitor positioning
oAlign with product, properties, and editorial to develop a unified strategy for the category
•Develop AOL’s core value proposition to the category and establish how it fits with AOL’s overall strategy
oAlign with category solutions and PMMs to communicate consistent positioning to the category
oCollaborate with CDO to communicate “client mindset” and positioning to AOL organization
•Lead marketing and evangelization of AOL to the category
oCategory Advisory Boards with key clients
oStrategic industry events with sponsorship/speaking opportunities
oResearch studies to establish AOL’s thought leadership and support AOL’s core value proposition to the category

•Significant interest or experience in media and/or technology businesses
•Solid marketing and/or management experience
•Superior business sense, problem solving, project management and analytical skills
•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executive leadership
•Proven track record of results, demonstrated accountability for achieving individual and shared goals
•Category and digital media experience preferred
•Minimum of 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience
