The Media Marketing team oversees the strategic development, integration, and day-to-day operations of the Ad Council’s CRM suite, as well as the creative strategy and execution of all CRM communications.

The Media Marketing team is primarily responsible for:

* Developing marketing strategies and communications that drive highly-effective media outreach and PSA distribution
* Establishing marketing metrics and providing regular, actionable insights to the Executive, Media and Campaign Management teams to enhance strategies

* Refreshing media marketing approach through implementation of cutting-edge marketing and digital distribution tactics in rapidly-changing media landscape

* Integrating CRM opportunities within each campaign’s overall go-to-market strategy
* Maintaining strong brand equity throughout execution of data-driven communications programs

Core Job Responsibilities:

The Media Product & Analytics Manager is responsible for ongoing development and integration of external and internal systems, tools and platforms supporting CRM capabilities for the Ad Council. The Media Product & Analytics Manager is also responsible for leading the marketing analytics efforts aimed at deepening customer engagement, customer insight and increasing the relevance of the Ad Council’s marketing outreach. This role will provide thought leadership in the effective implementation, integration and day-to-day operations of Silverpop, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics, and PSA Central, our proprietary digital asset distribution platform in order to optimize the Media department’s outreach and drive PSA usage. S/he will be the product expert and evangelist on these internal and external systems, tools and platforms, driving CRM innovation within the Ad Council.

Media Platforms

* Develop and own the CRM product roadmap and ensure that it meets market needs and the business objectives; clearly communicate what is in the roadmap and why.
* Responsible for managing and implementing solutions pertaining to automating and streamlining contact management, PSA distribution, and prospecting as well as any processes/data related to CRM in general.
* Partner closely with IT to ensure we are using technology to drive the best possible email marketing program; includes automating manual processes, achieving optimal data segmentation, list development, and email optimization opportunities; and developing behavioral and remarketing campaigns.
* Contribute to the overall development of the product vision and strategy, propose business cases for features, and achieve team buy-in on priorities based on analysis of customer needs, trends, competitive landscape, and business models.
* Responsible for maintaining CRM tools and fielding requests from users related to training, enhancements, troubleshooting and best practices.
* Participate in vendor and build vs. buy assessments, integration planning and implementation of CRM, data management, and customer care tools for internal use.
* Manage launch planning and implementation, including beta/acceptance testing, and user training, and creation of support materials, user documentation and launch presentations.
* Work closely with internal technology team, as well as external technology vendors and partners to define milestones and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery.
* Understand key technologies, integration best practices and incorporation of 3rd party APIs.
* Track bugs and define areas for constant UX enhancement and optimization.
* Anticipate industry and product trends, capability prioritization and tradeoffs, balancing business needs versus technical and resource constraints.

Marketing Analytics

* Partner with key internal stakeholders, including Campaign Management, Media, and Media Measurement & Analysis teams to develop a single-view of customer analytics framework and determine key KPIs for the CRM activities.

* Develop customer analytics, reporting and dashboards to provide timely and accurate customer insights to key internal stakeholders. Develop tracking and data collection strategy to support business objectives. Audit and troubleshoot data problems, if needed.
* Synthesize data to identify trends and deliver key insights and business recommendations.
* Partner with the Media Marketing and Media teams to develop marketing and communications strategies that are fueled by customer insight.
* Collaborate with the Media team to ensure go-to-market (GTM) initiatives drive existing media client retention and enable new client acquisition.
* Responsible for QA and ongoing audit of Adobe Analytics to ensure data quality and robustness of decision-making data; partner with internal technology and external vendor teams to ensure tagging is implemented correctly. Manage timely completion of project.
* Troubleshoot reporting and analytics gaps with technology team, product team, and external vendors / consultants as necessary.
* Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, methodologies and reports. Share best practices and develop systems knowledge to deliver new reports and enhance existing reports to meet needs.
* Analyze requests and propose designs aligned with strategy (standard reports, minimal customizations, streamlined processes and automated data flows).
* Address issues reported by users and follow process to track / report on on-going issues and projects to both management and internal customers.

Job Requirements


* BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field with 4-6 years of work experience, preferably in media, digital and/or advertising companies, with at least 2 years of product management experience
* Significant Salesforce and Adobe Analytics (Site Catalyst) application skills required
* Prior CRM and email marketing experience required; Silverpop experience a plus
* Experience with 3rd party APIs, development of proprietary applications for internal or external use, and integration with external campaign management, customer care and/or CRM platforms
* Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum
* Knowledge of common product management, project management, and wireframing tools (Jira, MS Project,Visio/Omnigraffle, etc.)
* Aptitude for translating product and technology terminology to be easily understood for non-technical focused personnel – must clearly communicate status/progress and issues to business management, end-users and IT management
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
* Ability to think critically and analytically, and anticipate stakeholder data needs
* Ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities
* Comfortable delivering solutions with limited direction and supervision
* Demonstrated capability to manage large amounts of data, understand business dynamics and think globally and strategically
* Able to maintain a consistently high level of objectivity
