Passionate? Inspiring? Highly collaborative? As a leader on a team of high-performance creative professionals, you'll direct content strategy and execution on a number of key print and digital accounts, as well as motivate, inspire and provide guidance to three to six direct reports. Your love of media and storytelling will enable you to participate in new business efforts and account expansion across a variety of industries, including concepting and prototype development, and participating in the presentation process.

Essential Duties:

Under supervision of the EVP/Chief Creative Officer:

- Provide editorial direction on a select group of accounts, including developing and execution of content strategy, assigning content and working directly with contributors, and seeing projects through to completion.
- Manage three to six direct reports, including providing them with constructive feedback on their assignments, assisting them in troubleshooting account challenges, giving annual feedback, and mentoring them in their own career growth.
- Develop strategies for content programs that reach audiences across multiple channels, including print, Web, smartphone, tablet, and social media.
- Lead and participate in new business and account expansion efforts.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of content marketing, or 10 years of editorial experience.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience, including direct supervision of full-time staff and responsibility for completing annual performance reviews.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills: you really know how to command the room.
- Network of freelance writers who love working with you, along with methods of building a base of strong contributors.
- Strong negotiating skills and a solid track record of managing and meeting budget requirements.
- A passion for developing content no matter what channel- print, Web, mobile, etc.
- An understanding of how to maximize content for a variety of media channels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Independent thinker and doer, but with a love of collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to write and edit content in MS Office, InDesign and Photoshop.
