DailyCandy is looking for a Content Director to create best-of-class content across our email, web, social, and mobile. S/he should be able to write and edit persuasive copy that engages readers. The Content Director manages a team of editors both directly and indirectly through persuasion and influence; s/he must be someone the staff comes to respect and therefore listens to when s/he trains them in copy best-practices, guides and directs them on strategy and top edits their work. S/he should be innovative, team-oriented, and an effective communicator, as well as have a desire to participate in a fast-paced, next-stage-growth environment. S/he should enjoy teaching and mentoring junior editors. Responsibilities Include:



* Help craft and define the DailyCandy voice and content strategy and articulate it to the editorial team and company.

* Work with the top editors and city editors to craft high-quality, highly engaging content; mentors junior editors.

* Devise and develop new editorial products and strategies that drive performance, engagement, and extend the DailyCandy brand.

* Work with Business Development to initiate and develop strategic editorial partnerships.

* Top edit content and provide constructive feedback to copy writers and editors to ensure that content meets business needs while also maintaining the DailyCandy voice and aesthetic.



* A bachelors degree in English, Journalism or a related field with 5+ years of writing and editing experience

* Must have previously managed a team of editors and must possess excellent leadership and delegation skills.

* Knowledge of web best practices, SEO, HTML and Omniture are a must. Eligibility Requirements:
