Social Media Community Manager / Content Creator
We’re looking for a Social Media Community Manager with a passion for the outdoors. This is a unique opportunity to manage multiple Client social media channels. The right candidate will help us convey Client brand messaging to outdoor enthusiasts in the fishing, marine and hunting industries in creative ways. Our ideal candidate should be comfortable leading content generation across several social media channels and engaging with social communities. To apply, please e-mail your resume, a short cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for this position, and any relevant links to your social media presence.Responsibilities:• Content Creation – Write monthly editorial calendars using Client brand voices for all social media channels, and work closely with design team to develop relevant images and videos• Content Publishing – Post daily across brands’ social media channels including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest• Monitoring & Engagement – Moderate comments, respond to consumers, and foster community engagement daily on brands’ social media channels• Trend Identification - Actively follow competitors, relevant outdoor lifestyle topics, and popular sites to uncover trends as they happen • Analytics – Assist with tracking and reporting KPIs for social channels• Program Support - Support digital team on brands’ social media programs and contests• Client Interactions – Respond to clients’ social media requests on a daily basis, participate in weekly status calls with clients, and travel to client offices as neededRequirements• 2+ years in a full-time social media position for a brand, digital/PR or marketing agency (2013 college grads need not apply)• Addicted to the outdoor enthusiast lifestyle with the ability to spot trends within these communities • Active on social media channels in your daily life aside from Facebook (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Wordpress)• Strong writing skills with ability to capture consumers’ attention in 140 characters or less • Creative thinker with the ability to translate ideas into sharable written & visual content• Experience monitoring and responding to consumers on social media channels• Understanding of social media best practices and tools• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment that requires self-motivation and personal responsibility, incredible attention to detail and ability to multi-task• Interest in expanding your social media skills and becoming more involved in strategy development• 4-Year college degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications• Available to start by 10/01/13NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
